The story basically revolves around them and their close-knit relationship with other types of birds, like crows, robins, buzzards, and geese. This book offers so much to children. It teaches that different families can come together as one unit. It also shows examples of the following literary devices: onomatopeia, alliteration, and allusion. Finally, the book also teaches people to accept themselves because they were made that way for a reason.
